Washington City has contracted with Emergency Communications Network, Inc. of Ormond Beach Florida for its "CodeRED" high-speed telephone emergency notification services. The "CodeRED" system gives city officials the ability to deliver pre-recorded messages pertaining to anything including emergency notifications, missing persons, and city announcments. This system also has the ability to target a specific geographical area of the city.
