ANNOUNCEMENTS:

The Lion’s Club is having their annual 4th of July Celebration. It will be held in Veterans Park and starts at 7am with a pancake breakfast, proceeds help fund the Lion’s Club. There will be fun activities taking place throughout the day.

Received letters from 2nd graders expressing their love and appreciation for Cotton Days.

CONSENT AGENDA:

        APPROVAL OF MINUTES.

        Consideration to approve the minutes from the City Council Meetings of 6/12/18 and 6/13/18.

        LEASE EXTENSION.  

Consideration to approve a lease extension between Washington City Community Center and Weight Watchers LLC

The Washington City Council approved the Consent Agenda unanimously.

YOUTH COUNCIL:

The swearing in ceremony for the installation of new Youth Council members took place.

SPECIAL EVENTS:

Consideration to approve a Special Event for the “1st Responders Appreciation Car Show” held at the Washington City Community Center Friday, October 19th from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Saturday, October 20th from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M..  Applicant: Darren Nuttall. The City Council approved unanimously.

PRELIMINARY PLAT:

Consideration to approve a Preliminary Plat for Sunwood at Bella Vista Phase 1, located at approximately 150 S. Bella Vista Drive.  Applicant:  SJ Property Holding LLC. The City Council approved unanimously with conditions.

PUBLIC HEARINGS:

All Public Hearings took place, a decision will be made in two weeks.

Public Hearing for consideration to approve Zone Change request Z-18-10 to amend a portion of the Stucki Farms PCD  by making changes to the Specific Site Plan Map, and updating the Zoning Comparison Chart..  Applicant:  South Landing Development, Karl Larson

Public Hearing for consideration to open and amend the Washington City 2017/2018 Fiscal Year Budget for the funds of Washington City

ORDINANCES:

Consideration to approve a Resolution Amending and closing the Washington City 2017/2018 Fiscal Year Budget.

The City Council approved unanimously.

Consideration to approve an Ordinance adopting General Plan Amendment G-18-03, by changing the land use designation from (LD) Low Density to (MD) Medium Density and (MHD) Medium High Density, located at approximately 400 East 4200 South.  Applicant:  Development Solutions Group, Inc. The City Council approved unanimously.

Consideration to approve an Ordinance adopting Zone Change request Z-18-08, from (A-20) Agricultural 20-acre lots to (R-1-15) Single Family Residential 15,000 sq. ft. lots, located at approximately 3400 South 300 East.  Applicant: Dale Bennett. The City Council approved 3 to 2.

PROPERTY ACQUISITION:

Consideration to approve the purchase of Real Property and authorizing the Mayor to execute the documents between the State Institutional Trust Land Association (SITLA) and Washington City, property is located near the new tank.  Public Works Director Mike Shaw. The City Council approved unanimously with conditions.
