Making A Difference

In recent weeks Washington City has been the recipient of the True Spirit of Service. The first example involves a Cub Scout Troop, along with family members that worked diligently to clean and landscape our cemetery in preparation for Memorial Day. Next a group of youth and adult leaders from the Valley of Grace Church gathered along the Virgin River Trail near Sullivan Park for a service project that greatly enhanced the beauty and safety of our trail system. Finally, during a scheduled Family Reunion, a large gathering of family members embraced an opportunity to provide service at Razor Ridge Park. In each instance, these groups recognized the value of service and the impact volunteers can make within the community. Washington City appreciates the numerous volunteers that really do “make a difference” in our community. Opportunities abound to make contributions that enhance our quality of life. We welcome individuals and groups looking for service opportunities. If you want to get involved, please contact the Washington City Volunteer Manager, Karrin Hunsaker, at 435-656-6383.
