Items of Interest For The Community

Be part of the Washington City Lions Club Adopt-A-Road Project on Saturday, March 11. As one of their services to the community, the Lions help keep the Washington Parkway cleared of litter from I-15 exit 13 to Main Street. Individuals, families, and members of other organizations are most welcome. Safety vests and garbage sacks provided. Meet on the north side of I-15 exit 13, 9 a.m. and plan on enjoying a barbeque when project completed. The Annual Children’s Easter Candy Dash sponsored by the Lions Club will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 8th, at Veteran’s Park! All children ages 12 and younger are invited to be part of the fun.

NOW IS THE TIME TO APPLY!!! High school seniors, continuing or perspective Utah Tech University students who live in Washington City.

You are eligible to apply for the Washington City Lions Club $1,000 scholarship for the 2023-24 academic year at Utah Tech. The deadline is April 30th! Students must be a Washington City resident and have a minimum 3.0 high school or college GPA. Applications are available online at scholarships.utahtech.edu/community-scholarships

To apply for the scholarship, students must fill out an application, supply an unofficial transcript, and submit a 500-word essay on how the Lions Club & mission of Community Service applies to them. Required items must be received by April 30, 2023.
