Police Chief Special Message

I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all our community members, business partners, and Washington City employees. Serving as the Police Chief/Public Safety Director for the last thirteen years has been an honor for me. I will be retiring at the end of March. I have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity that has been given to me to be part of this community and the Washington City team. The Police Department has committed its’ efforts to be part of the community through engagement and partnerships. I am grateful to all of my staff for the awesome attitude and personality they have given the department. Their individual efforts each day are a direct result of the department’s successes in serving. We have been and will continue to be committed to treating each community member with “Honor and Respect”. My team’s commitment to serving in this community with the purpose to protect and serve is second to none. Their efforts each day enhance the quality of life that is enjoyed by all within the community. I would like to recognize our City Elected Officials and City Manager for their trust, confidence, support, and willingness to allow me to be part of Washington City’s leadership team. I am looking forward to being part of this community as a citizen now and watching the Washington City Police Department and Washington City continue to develop and grow. It is my hope that I have left our community better than when I joined it. This opportunity has been an awesome final chapter in my 34-year career in Law Enforcement/Public Safety. THANK YOU!
