Holiday Safety Tips

We would like to remind all of our community members about some safety tips during the Holiday Season. These will help prevent you becoming a victim of a crime.

1. Don’t leave anything of value visible in your vehicles while shopping.

2. Lock your vehicles always, even when parked at home.

3. Park in a well lit area if shopping after dark.

4. Keep an outside light on at home when you are away. This will provide a better lit area if you return after dark and makes it harder for someone to approach your home if doing so for the wrong reasons.

5. Keep valuables away from your windows or at least not visible from outside.

If you feel uncomfortable or notice something suspicious, please err on the side of caution and call our dispatch (634-5730) to have an officer come check it out. We would rather have you err on the side of caution than respond to something later that we together could have prevented. Have a great Holiday Season.
