Washington City Code Enforcement

The Code Enforcement Office was created to enforce city, state, and federal laws that affect the standard of living in Washington City. These laws are generally either unknown or misunderstood. The Code Compliance Office is dedicated to educating the public on its rights as citizens and as its role as neighbors. You may contact the Code Compliance Office with your questions or concerns at 986-1515. You may also e-mail the sergeant over code enforcement at codeenforcement@washingtoncity.org

There's a new task force in town and their focus is fugitive dust

The Southern Utah Air Quality Task Force was formed to address the growing need for education and enforcement of air quality issues. It is made up of business involved in the construction/development trade, Government officials, and Citizens. While the Task Force is in its infancy great strides have been made to address some of the fugitive dust problems so prevalent in our community. In the months to come the Task Force will be making presentations to municipalities in Southern Utah to educate the lawmakers on the need for increased education and enforcement of air quality hazards.  These meetings will be public and we encourage the citizens of Southern Utah to attend and learn what they can do to help. Watch the newsletter for future times and dates.
