Per the information received by the Washington County Clerk's Office at 5:44 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, the number of outstanding ballots for Washington City is as follows:

        

NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL GENERAL ELECTION

Notice is hereby given that the Municipal General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.

A polling location/vote center for ALL Washington City Precincts will be located at the following location:  

Dixie Center

1835 Convention Center Drive

St. George, UT

Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for voters to return their ballots or vote in person on Election Day.  Accessible voting machines will be available.

Voters must be a citizen of the United States; residents of the voting precinct in which they are voting; and 18 years of age or older by the General Election in order to participate.  Voter identification will be required.

 Public Notice of 2021 Municipal Election

Public Notice is hereby given that Washington City will be holding a Municipal Election this year to fill the offices of:

  1. Mayor - 4 year term
  2. City Council Members - 4 year term each

Each person seeking to become a candidate can file a Declaration of Candidacy in person with the City Recorder from June 1, 2021 and June 7, 2021 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Candidate Qualifications are as follows:

  • Must be a United States Citizen; and
  • Be a registered voter with the municipality; and
  • Be a resident of the municipality or recently annexed area for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately before the date of the election; and
  • Any mentally incompetent person, any person convicted of a felony, or any person convicted of treason or a crime against the elective franchise may not hold office in this State until the right to hold elective office is restored under Section 20A-2-101.3 or 20A-2-202.5; and
  • Pay required filing fees.
