Councilman Troy Belliston was elected to the council in November of 2015. Troy is married to Kimberly (Kirby) Belliston and they have two children. Troy and Kim both grew up here in southern Utah prior to Troy hauling Kim off to live in Europe while he served in the armed forces. The military suited Troy and he loved the adventures that he was able to be a part of, however families often need a bit more stability than the military can provide and after nearly a decade of service, Troy and Kim brought their young family home to raise their children in this community. Their family lives in Washington Fields.

Upon his return home, Troy began to work in the construction and development sectors of our economy. He is fortunate to have had the opportunity to build and develop and see our communities grow through private development. Troy ran for our council because he believes that cities will grow and develop and can do so in a healthy direction by building value and quality of life for our citizenry through good municipal direction and oversight.

Never one to sit still, Troy is constantly working to improve and bring value to his surroundings. He recognizes that we live in a beautiful, safe and friendly community; but Troy believes that it takes consistent work to safeguard our properties and beautiful views, protect individuals and families, and continually improve financial and employment opportunities. Troy feels that he is uniquely qualified to participate on the City Council where he can continue to promote Washington City values and serve the community that he loves.
