Available Information Sources

Ever wonder who to call when the power goes out; a dog is loose; you need the Cotton Days schedule; or when the next City Council meeting is and what is on the agenda? Here is some information that we hope will be useful and informative. The City, along with the City Council, desire to continue making this information more accessible

Washingtoncity.org – The official city website, since 2004, will take you to public noticing, meetings and other scheduled events, city code, news and newsletter archives, and contact information. We have live information, including weather and calendars, too. This site has a “search” capability that could be very useful as you look for a particular piece of information.

After hours ‘on call’ City phone line – Should you need to contact someone during or after regular business hours, call the regular number 656-6300. If it is after regular hours you’ll have an option to connect with on call personnel through an answering service. Any public safety issues should call dispatch 24/7 at 634-5730 (always call 911 for emergencies).

Text blasts – Washington City employs a few methods to interact through text blasts. One is by utilizing the shared county Everbridge communication system for emergency and infrastructure events. You can submit your information to be included with this service at www.911register.com. We also use a service called iRemind. An interactive text communication to remind us of meetings and other City events. This is currently in testing and available we will post information on our website and other media outlets on how to join.

Facebook – Washington City maintains several Facebook pages: General City (facebook.com/washingtoncity/), Washington City Community Center (facebook.com/thewccc/), Power Department (facebook.com/Washingtonutahpower/), police (facebook.com/WCPoliceDept/), fire (facebook.com/WCFireDept/), and “run” (facebook.com/runwashingtoncity) pages.

Twitter – This is a feed of all City news. Twitter users can find us at @washingtonutah

YouTube – Subscribe through YouTube account ‘washingtoncityutah’

Instagram – You can subscribe at instagram.com/washingtonutah/ or instagram.com/washingtoncitycommunitycenter/

Email News – Sign up at washingtoncity.org/news. It contains a monthly feed of city news and announcements.

Coming Soon – “Your Washington”, an official discussion group on Facebook, will be announced on washingtoncity.org and our various media outlets when available. This group will be a place to discuss and learn about Washington City, and do so directly with staff and City Council.
