Double Dare participants will start their day at Staheli Family Farm between 6:00 am-7:00 am. They will run the Washington City Half Marathon course in reverse and then back again. At the beginning of the course, DD participants will join the Half Marathon racers back at Staheli Farms. In order to complete the dare, DD participants must arrive at the Half Marathon start line by 8:55 am to start their return trip at 9:00 am.
(The first half of the race will be unsupported.) Aid Station Locations: Aid Stations will be located at approximately miles 3,6,9,11, and 12 of the 1/2 Marathon. Port-a-potties, Water, Gatorade, and Gu will be available at each aid station.
DD participants must be able to support themselves on their first leg to the start line of the Half Marathon. They must also check-in at Staheli Family Farm with a high-visibility reflective vest and headlamp before beginning their first leg. DD participants are responsible for acquiring their own equipment. DD participants without the required equipment will not be allowed to start. Participants may begin their run at Staheli Family Farm any time between 6:00 am and 7:00 am. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST CHECK-IN with the DD volunteer prior to starting. No participants will be allowed to start after 7:00 am. The course first half of the DD is NOT maintained by volunteers or aid stations. Participants must be prepared to support themselves.
Parking will be available for participants at Staheli Family Farm. Access
to parking is only allowed from Southbound Washington Fields Rd. Drivers
will make a left-hand turn into the parking area. Drivers should watch for
signs directing them to the appropriate area. Please help to ensure the
safety of our course and finish line by limiting traffic where runners are
present.
Food will be available after the race in the designated "Runners Area".
We have a NO SPECTATOR requirement at the start line in order to further
minimize the possibility of contraction. IF you have a child who is
participating and is under the age of 18, you will be allowed to supervise
that child and be available for any help they may need. We ask that parents
supervising Kids Run participants, limit their supervision to one
parent/adult per child participant. Persons wanting to support their loved
ones can follow them using the map information available on this page.
You are encouraged to station along the race course to show your support
for your loved one. Once a participant has finished their course, you will
be asked to promptly exit the race area after receiving your finisher's
medal and the refreshment bag.
Race results for current and past years will be available here. Current results will be available within 24 hours of the end of the event. We are pleased to welcome back Runner Card as our timing professionals for this event.
All Double Dare Finishers will receive a Half Marathon finisher's medal and
an additional Double Dare finishers medal (to be awarded at the finish
line).
It’s a Challenge, Not a Race. Participants will not be timed by "chip" on
their run to the start line and their return to Staheli Family Farm.
Remember, this is NOT a race. It is a challenge we want you to complete,
but we will have timing information available to you via RaceDay Timing.
