Community Safety Zone & Room

There is a location in front of the Police Station that has been marked by signage as a safe zone. This is a location that our community members can use if needed. It is the two far south parking stalls in our front parking lot. This area is being recorded by a camera. If you are being followed by someone that you are fearful of or in immediate danger, there is also a location you can go to for help. The front lobby of the police station is available as a temporary safe haven whether during business hours or not. Once inside the first set of doors you push the button on the red box, it will lock the doors and connect you directly to our dispatch. They will answer it just like a 911 call and dispatch an officer to your location. You will be able to tell them where you are and what your emergency is. Those locked out will remain locked outside the doors until an officer arrives to unlock them, or you push the bar to open.
