Notice of Election Filing For Candidacy

Washington City will be holding a municipal election this year to fill the offices of three(3) Council Members to serve four year terms. Qualifications to be a candidate are:

• Registered voter with Washington City
• Resident of Washington City or a territory which was annexed into Washington City for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the election
• Cannot be declared mentally incompetent, convicted of a felony, convicted of  treason, or a crime relating to elections until the right to hold elective office is restored
• Pay required filing fees

Each person seeking to become a candidate can file a Declaration of Candidacy in person with the City Recorder from June 1, 2023 and June 7, 2023 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You can check your voter registration at vote.utah.gov.
