Washington City Residents

As you are probably aware Rocky Mountain Power (RMP) who is the transmission provider for all of Washington County has issued a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) watch for Saturday June 21st.  Pete Singh with RMP is quoted as saying: "Community safety and reducing wildfire risk are our top priorities," said Pete Singh, the company's incident commander, in a statement. "We take the decision to turn off power very seriously. Public Safety Power Shutoffs will be targeted, precise and guided by real-time data from conditions on the ground."

Area utilities are monitoring the situation and will pass along any additional information as it becomes available.  A PSPS would most likely affect all residents of Washington County and could occur with or without warning depending on changing weather & fire conditions.   All residents should be prepared with water, medicine, food and other essentials in case a PSPS is issued.

Information, Map, and Estimates will be available here: https://www.rockymountainpower.net/outages-safety/wildfire-safety/public-safety-power-shutoff-event.html
