Unveiling the Tapestry of Washington

Upcoming Lectures and Smithsonian Exhibit

Renowned folk artist Eric Dowdle has been commissioned by Washington City, with funding from RAP Tax and the Stan Snow family, to create a painting depicting the rich history and present beauty of our city. The unveiling of this masterpiece is scheduled for Friday, April 28th, 2024, coinciding with Cotton Day’s celebration. The painting, a visual narrative of our city’s story, will find its place in the City Office Building, inviting everyone to appreciate its tale. In addition to the painting, Eric Dowdle is unveiling a 6 ft puzzle replicating the artwork, featuring no missing pieces.
