Fiscal Year 2017 Audit

Fiscal Year 2017 Audited Financial Statement Each year before our annual financial statement is submitted to the State Auditor, Washington City is required to have an independent audit of the financial statements. The audit results for fiscal year 2017 were presented to City Council by Hinton Burdick on December 13, 2017. The financial statements were found free from material misstatements and there are no material findings on reporting on performance objectives or non-compliance with legislation. Some highlights from the fiscal year are net present value savings of $2.6 million by refunding water and general obligation bonds, reduction of long-term debt by 7.8%, and an increase in capital assets of over $12 million.
