Grand Opening of New Park

Washington City leaders and staff are excited to announce the opening of  Main Street and “The Boilers - A Natural Spring and Conservation Garden”.  This unique and historic park is located at 295 W. Buena Vista Boulevard in a beautiful garden setting, A variety of fun activities and amenities are available for all to enjoy, including a large playground and pavilion, picnic areas, pickleball courts, and of course, a natural spring with a sand beach. A formal Grand Opening will be held on October 13th. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony on Main Street at 5:30 PM followed by a Bike parade up Main Street to the Boilers Park where a second ribbon cutting ceremony will take place for the Boilers Park at 6PM; Light refreshments will be served. We invite long time community members to record their memories and/or photos of “The Boilers” from years ago and submit them to the Parks & Recreation Office located at 350 N. Community Center Drive, or email them to kstaheli@washingtoncity.org.  We look forward to compiling these memories/photos and hope to share them with others if you permit.
