Proud To Sponsor Local Scouts

The Washington Lions Club is proud to sponsor Troop 435 for boys ages 11-17.  Anyone interested in joining the troop can go to beascout.org and search for a troop in our area code.   This year the troop traveled to Catalina Island in California to attend summer camp at Emerald Bay. Scouts were able to hike, bike, canoe, paddle board, and scuba dive in addition to earning multiple merit badges and touring the battleship USS Iowa.  Next year the scouts are planning a trip to Yellowstone and Camp Loll. Troop 435 has been excited to participate in the community by marching in parades, setting up the field of flags, helping with the multiple pancake breakfasts put on by the Lions club, as well as many other service opportunities. The Lions Club is proud to help provide an avenue for youth to learn the same principles of service that Lions try to provide to our community.
