Updates & Events

The WCYC Youth Council was installed at the June City Council meeting, starting their 14th year of service to the City of Washington City. A meet-and-greet was held with their parents where they received commitment information and learned about the importance of belonging to the Youth Council. They have already assisted with Cotton Days, Iron Man, Mayor’s Cup, and the 4th of July. Their official year begins on August 17th when they will attend their retreat with the theme “Dare to Lead”, during which they will receive the calendar of events, information, and vote for their new officers. New members include: Ely Engelbright, parents Josh & Jennifer; Morgan and Whitey Sucher, parents Jeff & Kim; Quinten Hence, parents Andrew & Corinne; Briney MacDonald, parents Deven & Britany; Jade Hefley, parents Ryan & Kristi; Wyatt Higgins, parents Nicolas & Melissa; Rawlye Coates, parents Craig & Ashley; Taylor Jack Hughes, parents Klint & Lacie. New members are interviewed and selected by the outgoing Youth Council with applications turned in last May. Advisors are Carmen Snow, Tess Prisbrey, and City Council advisor Troy Belliston.
