Heart Health Awareness
February is American Heart Month and you have the power to take action to protect yourself against heart disease! WCFD would like to take this time to remind our community to prioritize your health.
Know the Signs - Recognize the signs of a heart attack or cardiac distress, such as chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, or discomfort in the upper body. Don’t hesitate to seek immediate medical attention if you or someone else experiences these symptoms.
Learn CPR and First Aid - Equip yourself with CPR and basic first aid skills. In emergencies, these skills can be lifesaving while waiting for professional help to arrive.
Manage Stress - Find healthy ways to manage stress as it can impact heart health. Engage in activities like yoga, meditation, or hobbies that help alleviate stress.
