Suntran Public Transportation Has Arrived

Washington City is excited to announce that the Suntran bus system will begin to provide service to the community starting June 1st. You can view the bus route, bus schedule, and most up to date information online by visiting WashingtonCity.org and utilizing the Public Transit Information link on the front page. For the Month of June this service has been made free for the community, so we hope you utilize it. You are also able to purchase bus passes at the City utilities office and the Washington City Community Center now so you will be able to ride after the free month ends. We again want to express our sincere appreciation to the Washington County Commission for adopting the transit tax that allows for this expansion into our community. As operations commence, the city will continually solicit input from Suntran patrons and the public on improvements to routes and services. We anticipate that this will be the first of many bus routes for our citizens. As Washington City continues to grow so does the need for services to meet our diverse and expanding population
