City Council Regular Meeting October 10th, 2018

APPROVAL OF AGENDA:

The Washington City Council removed item 10a (Bid Award) from the outlined agenda and approved the remaining agenda unanimously.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Washington City was recognized by the Huntsman World Senior Games and added into its sponsors hall of fame for years of service given.

DECLARATION OF ABSTENTIONS & CONFLICTS:

None.

CONSENT AGENDA:        

APPROVAL OF BOARD AUDIT REPORT

Consideration to approve the Board Audit for September 2018.

The Washington City Council approved unanimously.

PROCLAMATION:

Reading of a Proclaiming, in an effort to increase awareness of Domestic Violence and proclaiming October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Dove Center.

PRELIMINARY PLAT:

Consideration to approve the Brio Phase 5B subdivision, located at approximately Via Del Norte and Camino Sur (Off of Millcreek Spring Drive). Applicant: Cole West Home. The Washington City Council approved 4 to 1.

Consideration to approve the Brio Phase 3E & 3F subdivisions, located at approximately Via Modelo and Sunshine Way.  Applicant: Cole West Home. The Washington City Council approved 3 to 2 with conditions.

PLAT AMENDMENT/VACATION:

Consideration to approve Amended and Extended Final Plat for Brio Phase 1A, located at approximately Brio Parkway.  Applicant Reed Scow. The Washington City Council approved unanimously.

PUBLIC HEARING:

The following public hearing took place and a decision will be made in two weeks.

Consideration to approve Zone Change request Z-18-14 to change the zoning designation from Residential Agricultural 2 acre lots (RA-2) to Planned Unit Development Residential & Commercial (PUD-R & PUD-C). The request is located approximately at 600 North 1100 East.  Applicant:  Kendal Turner.

ORDINANCE:

Consideration to approve an Ordinance amending a portion of the Washington City Code, more specifically, “Additional Height Waiver”, as found in Title 9 Zoning Regulations, Chapters 14 Supplementary and Qualifying Regulations, Section 22 Additional Height Waiver, amending who approves additional building height request.  Applicant: Washington City. The Washington City Council approved unanimously.

BID AWARD:

b.Consideration to award the bid for an Asphalt Paver.  Public Works Director Mike Shaw. The Washington City Council approved unanimously the purchase of the asphalt paver from Wheeler Machinery in the amount of $174,394.

SECONDARY WATER:

Consideration to approve the funding for the Secondary Water Study.  Public Work Director Mike Shaw. The Washington City Council approved the water study unanimously In the amount of $96,700.
