Parade Grand Marshals

 Service At Its Best

Washington City wants to thank John and Rosie Kirkland for their tremendous service and the resources they have donated over the years. They were this years Grand Marshals at out Cotton Days celebration. We want to share with you a little bit about them, they currently serve as president, and treasurer of ‘the color country antique machinery association’, they get to share their love of antique tractors and equipment with many different communities (in parades- tractor pulls- exhibits). For the last 13 years John has actively supported the transport of city tours, and parade entries for city events. He is the farmer that developed the beautiful photography spot on the virgin river at the Kirkland family farm. For the past 12 years, Rosie has organized and managed 80+ volunteers, and members of the CCAM Association, to produce the ‘history tour’ (field trip for all 2nd graders in Washington county that takes place during Cotton Days). This event goes all week and ends with a tractor pull. John and Rosie blended their family 13 years ago. Between them have: 12 children, 42 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.

Thank You John and Rosie.
