Veterans Day

Washington City leadership and staff would like to formally invite the community to attend this year’s Veterans Day Celebration on November 11th. This year, we are extending the invitation to neighboring cities and inviting veterans from across the county to ride on the wagons in the parade. Kelly Kleinman will be the Grand Marshal. Please join us as we honor and support the military men and women for their service and dedication to this great country, ‘the land of the free and the home of the brave,’ as Francis Scott Key so beautifully said. There will be a parade down Telegraph Street with a short program immediately after.  All Veterans who would like to participate in the parade are invited to do so! Please arrive between 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM at the parking lot in front of the old Nisson’s Grocery store located at the corner of Main Street and Telegraph St where you will board shuttle wagons and join the parade at 11 AM.
