3650 South /1450 South Road Project

Purpose and Need

This project is part of a regional project between Washington City and the City of St. George. The project will realign 3650 South (Washington City) to line up with 1450 South (St. George) at the signalized intersection at 3000 East.  This will help alleviate conflicting traffic movements at the intersection of 3650 South/1580 South and 3000 East. This roadway will eventually link the Southern Corridor to I-15.

Project Description

The project includes roadway construction, utility installation, and storm drain improvements from 3000 East (St. George) to 240 West.

Schedule

Design: Completed

Construction Commencing: October 2021

Construction Completion: May 2022

Updates

5-11-21 - updated schedule to show that project has been delayed from previous projection.

7-14-21 - project has bid and will likely commence construction in September or October 2021.

3-17-22 - On Monday March 21, 2022 3650 S going westbound will be closed. There will be a detour at 240 w and will detour to 3090 S until completion of Project.

5/5/22 Curb and gutter is beginning today. They are installing the South side of the road. Asphalt will be placed in the next couple of weeks.

5/13/22 The paving of the first lift of asphalt will be completed today with the final lift scheduled for Monday. Please obey the traffic control and do not drive on the asphalt until the road is open to traffic.

5/18/22 Paving is completed. The contractor will open the road after the striping is completed. Please stay out of the construction until the road is open for traffic.

6/2/22 Painting of the road is scheduled for the 6th. Sidewalks are being placed as the contractor is getting materials. 3650 S. will be opened for traffic after the painting is completed, please follow the posted speeds and traffic control for the safety of the public as well as the construction workers.

6/15/22 Roadway will be open on 6/21/22. Sidewalks will not be completed before the roadway is open for traffic.

7/1/22 Project is complete with only a few small items remaining.
