Transit Stops and Sidewalk Project

Project Description: This project consists of adding bus pullouts on the five transit stops along Telegraph St. The pullouts will make it safer to load and unload passengers at the transit stops. Along with the bus pullouts, Washington City will be completing the missing sections of sidewalk along Telegraph St. There will be a continuous sidewalk on both sides of Telegraph from Green Spring Dr. To Washington Parkway. This project also completes the sidewalk on Washington Fields Road from 2000 South to Merrill Road. This sidewalk will only be constructed on the West side of Washington Fields Road.

Updates:

4/2/23 - Construction will start on the Washington Fields Road portion of the sidewalk on 4/10/23.

4/13/23 - Project has started. The contractor is installing the sidewalk on Washington Fields Road first. After Cotton Days, the contractor will start work on the bus pullouts on Telegraph.

6/5/23 Contractor will be placing curb and gutter on Washington Fields Road this week. Followed by the sidewalk. The Telegraph portion of the project will be starting with grade work.
