3650 South Extension - Sugar Plum to Majestic Hills

Purpose and Need

This project is a part of a larger project referenced in the City’s latest Transportation Master Plan - 3650 South from Western City Limit to Southern Corridor. 3650 South is a minor arterial road serving the growing residential areas of Washington Fields. This roadway will eventually link the Washington Fields area with the Southern Corridor.

Project Description

The project includes roadway construction, utility installation, and detention basin grading on 3650 South between Camino Real and to the current eastern limit of 3650 S. The project will connect the road between the Sugar Plum and Majestic Hills subdivisions.

Update 03/16/21  The project bid today and is scheduled to be awarded next week.

Update 04/14/21  The project has been awarded to Western Rock Products. Work is scheduled to commence Monday, April 19, 2021. The current anticipated completion date is June 18, 2021.

Update 5/6/21  Rough grading of the roadway and basin is complete. Contractor is commencing on storm drain pipe with other utilities to follow.

Update 7/14/21  Curb and gutter is complete. Contractor is preparing sidewalk to be completed early next week with asphalt likely within the next two weeks.
