Purpose and Need
In order to protect existing infrastructure, this project will place approximately 2,800 linear feet of erosion protection along the east bank of the Virgin River, in the Pine View park area. The proposed erosion protection cross section consists of a 5-foot thick section of 24-inch diameter rock rip-rap placed to the river flow line. Invasive tamarisk species will be removed and the area will receive willow plantings.
