This event is hosted at Veterans Park and put on independently from Washington City. The Lions Club is proud to celebrate the 4th of July. Come join the Lions Club for a fantastic breakfast starting at 7 am with proceeds helping fund the Lions Club, followed by fun family activities in the park. Come enjoy Pioneer Day on July 24th. There will be a fun-filled celebration! The Lions Club will be serving breakfast at 7 AM. There will be a parade down Telegraph at 8 AM, and afterward, go enjoy the children's booths in Veterans Park. When the park fun has ended head over to the W.C.C.C. and spend the rest of the day swimming, having fun, and when the sun goes down enjoy a fireworks display that evening at 10 PM. Utah Food Bank is excited to announce the expansion of its services in Washington City! They have been providing services in Washington County for 35 years. On the last Thursday of each month at the lower parking lot at the Washington City Community Center in Washington City the mobile food pantry service will be provided. This mobile food pantry is open to the public. They want people to be able to take advantage of this opportunity, which is completely free of any charge or fees. While many are able to visit traditional brick-and-mortar food distribution sites, such as the Switchpoint Community Resource Center in St. George, Washington City currently does not have any such agency. They are committed to bringing these resources closer to the residents of Washington City, and they thank Washington City for their tremendous help in this endeavor to better serve these residents. On days when food is given out the food pantry will close when food is all gone.
