Elections Information

• Washington City’s elections are administered by Washington County.

• Municipal Elections are held on odd calendar years.
• County and State elections are held on even calendar years.  Please check their website here for details.
          

Voter Registration

• If you are not a registered voter, or need to change/update your voter registration, you can do so at vote.utah.gov.  If you are unable to access online registration, you can register in person at the Washington County Clerk's Office.
          

Ballots are in the Mail

• Ballots are mailed to active, registered voters 21 days prior to an election, according to Utah State Law.
• If you are a registered voter and do not receive your ballot in the mail, please contact the Washington County Elections Office at 435-301-7248.  
• You may either drop your completed ballot in the mail, or return to any ballot drop box in Washington County.  Locations for drop boxes can be found here.
• If you lose or spoil your ballot, please call the Washington County Elections Office to set up an appointment to pick up a new one at their office, or you may vote in person during early voting or on Election Day.
          

Mail-In Ballot Deadline

• The deadline to postmark your ballot is the day before Election Day.  If your ballot is not postmarked correctly, it will not be counted.
          

In-Person Voting

• If you choose to vote in person, you can do so during scheduled Early Voting Dates, or on election day both of which are held at the Dixie Convention Center located at 1835 S Convention Center Drive, St. George.

Election Results

• Preliminary election results will be released as early as 8:45 P.M. on Election Day.  You can check the County Website here for results as they become available.
