Permit Submittal Requirements For Swimming Pools

Log in to Builder Account on City Inspect to begin the new application process.
Select ‘Pool’ for permit type.
Complete all required fields on permit application:

Make sure you add contacts for everyone you want to have access to the permit for inspections.
Complete all applicable information for Engineer, Builder and Subcontractors including Washington City Business License number for Builder and all Subcontractors. (Contact the Washington City Recorder's Office directly for Business Licensing 435-656-6356)
Builder Valuation required

Builder info page - Complete “Builder Valuation” field.
Permit File Attachments:

Site Plan: Overview of lot drawn to scale and showing (a) North Arrow, location and name of Street, along with property address (b) lot size and dimensions (c) how pool is located on lot with dimensions from pool to property lines and structures (d) any easement on lot (e) identify pool fencing and gates per Washington City Code Title 4, Chapter 6, paragraph 3 and 4, Including ISPSC 305.3.3 and 305.3.4 (f) all existing structures identified on lot (g) identify any existing retaining walls and fences (h) pool equipment location

After you click "OK" agreeing to the terms of use, click on the blue "I want to" button located in the upper left side of the screen.

Then on the drop down menu, click on "Search for a Subdivision".

Next click on the Subdivision Search screen located to the left of the map, click on the down arrow located at the far right of the name field to pull up the complete list of recorded subdivisions.

Select the subdivision you need the plat for and then click "continue" and then click on "Click to View Subdivision Plat".

All of the recorded plats for the subdivision will come up and you download and\or print as necessary.

Permit Plans: Engineered lot specific pool plans with current engineer stamp, signed and dated. * If pool is closer than 3’ to dwelling, additional engineering will be required.

Soils Report: Pool Installation specific soils report if property is located in an area identified on the map “Subdivisions Requiring Soils Report For Pool Permit Map”. (See Below)(pdf available here)

This document is REQUIRED and will need to be recorded with the Washington County Recorder's Office prior to permit being issued.

Additional Document: If the pool layout is closer than 7.5’ from any property line, upload the Setback Request\Utility Easement Encroachment Form with all required approvals.

When all information has been completed and all plan requirements uploaded, click ‘Submit Application’.
