Setbacks

Setbacks vary from zoning district to zoning district.

To determine setbacks:

  1. Identify which zoning district the property is located in (Zoning Maps)
  2. Determine if there are any easements or lot restrictions that would require greater setbacks than those listed in the Title 9 Chapters 6 through 11 of the Washington City Codified Ordinances  (ie drainage, landscape, utility, or access easments.
  • Chapter 6 (OS) Open Space
  • Chapter 7 (A) Agricultural
  • Chapter 8 (R) Residential
  • Chapter 9 (AP) Administrative and Professional
  • Chapter 10 (C) Commercial
  • Chapter 11 (I) Industrial/Business
