Back To School Safety Reminder

As schools reopen and students return to their classrooms, let’s all work together to ensure a safe environment for everyone. Here are some important safety tips:

Slow Down: Be extra cautious while driving. School buses pick up passengers, kids on bikes hurry to school, and parents drop off their children before work.

Watch for Pedestrians: Pay attention to crosswalks and pedestrian crossings. Children may not always follow traffic rules, so be vigilant.

School Bus Safety: When a school bus stops and activates its flashing lights, stop your vehicle and wait until the bus resumes motion. Children may be crossing the street.

Stay Off Devices: Avoid distractions while driving. Put away your phone and focus on the road.

Obey Speed Limits: Follow posted speed limits, especially in school zones. Children may unexpectedly dart into traffic.

Be Patient: Traffic may be slower during drop-off and pick-up times. Show patience and kindness to fellow drivers.

Remember, our community’s safety depends on each of us doing our part. Let’s make this school year a safe and successful one!
