Be Patient & Aware

Washington City is growing rapidly. The traffic through the city has increased and we are working hard to maintain the safety of all those who reside, visit, or just passing through. Traffic at our intersections has increased and we can all become a little frustrated and impatient at times. One particular item that we see consistently is improper left or right turns. The law states when conducting a right-hand or left-hand turn onto multi-lane streets, the motorist should turn into the closest lane. This allows other motorists coming from the opposite direction to turn simultaneously and should avoid any collisions. We appreciate the joint effort of our community to maintain the safety and quality of life we have here in Washington City.
