Happy Holidays from your Washington City Police Department. With the Holidays Season here we want to remind all of you to pay close attention to your surroundings.  Please try not to leave an opportunity for someone that will surely ruin your Holiday Season. I am speaking of theft, whether it is from your home, vehicle, purse, or wallet while shopping.  Theft is generally a crime of opportunity. If we do our part by not leaving things out where visible and unattended, we are greatly diminishing the possibility that this will occur to us. It is unfortunate that we have people in society that believe they are entitled to the things others have worked hard to earn, but it is the reality. Please take extra care to be safe in all you do this Holiday Season.
