In Utah, seatbelt use reached its highest level ever in 2023, yet 2101 occupants were unrestrained in crashes, leading to 760 injuries and 65 fatalities. Whether heading across town or on a long trip, always buckle up it’s the simplest way to protect yourself and your loved ones. Unrestrained occupants are significantly more likely to suffer serious injuries or fatalities in a crash. Stay alert, avoid distractions, and obey speed limits to ensure a safe journey.
