Press Release Friday, May 8th, 2020. 10:30 AM

At approximately 10:30 PM. On Thursday, May 07, 2020, Washington City Police were dispatched to the area of East Huntington Hill Rd on reports of a gunshot with one male victim.  Officers were able to gain control of the scene quickly and began rendering aid to the gunshot victim until medical units arrived.

The victim was transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.

The suspect is identified as, thirty-two (32), year-old Bradly Hunt of Washington City.  Mr. Hunt was charged with Murder, Possession of a weapon by a restricted person, Marijuana Possession, and Paraphernalia.  Mr. Hunt was booked into the Washington County Jail on the above charges.  

We would like to extend our appreciation to our consolidated dispatch center, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, and Utah Highway Patrol for their assistance with this incident.  We also express our condolences to the victim’s family and loved ones.
