VIPS
Volunteers in Public Safety
We are excited to announce the launch of our VIPS program, a significant initiative to enhance community safety and well-being. We are looking for a “Few Good People” to partner with us and serve our great community through service. We have several areas in all three of our divisions within the Police Department: Police, Animal Welfare Services, and Code Enforcement, where you can serve. The following are some areas: Vehicle identification number inspections, parking issues, nuisance issues, vacation patrols, fingerprinting, data entry, traffic control, special event patrols, shelter care, cleaning and feeding of animals, Public Safety prevention and education programs, etc.
By joining our VIPS program, you'll join a team serving a real purpose in our community. There's a profound sense of fulfillment in helping those you live around and contributing to preserving the Quality of Life we all currently enjoy. We're confident that there are individuals in our community who have had successful careers in the above areas and are now seeking ways to share their skills and talents while giving back to their community.
For more information and to join our team, please contact Dennis Bailey, our volunteer coordinator, at 986-1515 or dbailey@washingtoncity.org
