Volunteers in Public Safety Program

We are excited to announce that we are launching our VIPS program, looking for a Few Good People to partner with us and serve our great community through service. We have several areas in all three of our divisions within the Police Department; Police, Animal Welfare Services and Code Enforcement that you can serve in. The following are some of these areas: Vehicle identification number inspections, parking issues, nuisance issues, vacation patrols, fingerprinting, data entry, victim advocates, traffic control, special event patrols, CERT volunteer coordinator, shelter care, cleaning and feeding of animals, Public Safety prevention and education programs etc.

As you can see we are reaching out to involve our community members in many aspects of our responsibilities. There is a real sense of purpose in serving those you live around and being part of preserving the Quality of Life we all currently enjoy. We know we have people in our community that have had great, positive careers in the above areas, who are looking for ways to share those skills and talents, while giving back to their community.

For more information and to get involved and join our TEAM, please contact our VIPS coordinator Dennis Bailey at 986-1515.
