The WCCC offers American Red Cross Lifeguard Training. This class is designed to teach the required skills in order to become a Certified Red Cross Lifeguard. Each participant must be at least 15-years of age by the last day of the class and complete the pretest. The pretest consists of a 300 yard swim (100 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, and 100 either Freestyle or Breaststroke), a 10-lb timed brick swim test, and a 2-min. water tread with no hands.
The course fee is $150 ($25 nonrefundable fee due at sign up, $125 due after pretest is passed, before final test can be taken) and includes all class materials, hands on instruction, and 2-year American Red Cross Certification for Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (upon successful completion of tests). The class has a 3-person minimum and a 10-person maximum per instructor inline with American Red Cross guidelines.

Register online (link above) or by coming in to the front desk at the WCCC. A $25 non-refundable registration fee is due upon registration (applied towards the course fee.) and remaining payment ($125) is due upon successful completion of the pretest (no refunds).
Lifeguard Recertification Training

Lifeguard Instructor Course
This course is designed for those wishing to become American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructors (LGI). Students must be at least 17-years of age at the time of the course. Dates: June 21-24, 2021
