The WCCC offers American Red Cross Lifeguard Training. This class is designed to teach the required skills in order to become a Certified Red Cross Lifeguard. Each participant must be at least 15 years of age by the last day of the class and complete the pretest. The pretest consists of a 300 yard swim (100 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, and 100 either Freestyle or Breaststroke), a 10-lb timed brick swim test, and a 2-min. water tread with no hands.
The course fee is $150 and includes all class materials, hands on instruction, and 2-year American Red Cross Certification for Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (upon successful completion of tests). The class has a 3 person minimum and a 10 person maximum per session due to American Red Cross guidelines.
Session 1: August 27th-30th, 2018 (5-10 PM)
Session 2: February 4th-7th, 2019 (5-10 PM)
Session 3: March 11th-14th, 2019 (8 AM-1 PM)
Session 4: April 8th-11th, 2019 (5-10 PM)
Session 5: April 29th - May 2nd, 2019 (5-10 PM)
Session 6: May 28th-30th, 2019 (8 AM-4 PM)

Lifeguard Recertification courses can be made by request. Recertification cost: $50
