Merit Badge Classes

The WCCC allows groups to utilize the pool for Scout training.

The following classes are offered. All scheduled classes will run from 7-8:30 PM.

Swimming Merit Badge

Lifesaving Merit Badge

First Aid Merit Badge

Climbing Merit Badge

SCHEDULE:

Swimming: July 10, 2018, August 21, 2018, November 13, 2018, February 12, 2019, March 26, 2019, June 11, 2019.

Lifesaving: July 24, 2018, October 9, 2018, November 27, 2018, February 26, 2019, April 9, 2019, June 25, 2019.

First Aid: August 7, 2018, October 23, 2018, December 11, 2018, March 12, 2019, April 23, 2019

Climbing (each class takes 2 weeks to complete): September 11 & 25, 2018, January 8 & 22, 2019, May 14 & 28, 2019.

2nd Class Requirements and/or BSA Swim Test: These can be arranged and scheduled upon individual request.

COST:$5 per scout, each class is limited to the first 30 individuals registered

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

Scouts will also need to provide their own swimming suits and towels and a dry pair of clothing to wear home.

• All scouts participating in the swimming and lifesaving merit badges need to be strong swimmers in order to complete the merit badge.
• Scouts should bring their own blue cards with their information filled out to sign-off the merit badge.
• Scouts (or Troops) must PRE-REGISTER WITH PAYMENT online or at the WCCC Front Desk to ensure a spot.

DROP-IN SCOUT GROUPS:Want to do the training on your own? Groups may come in on their own by contacting the aquatics office. Generally, times will only be available on Saturdays during the school year due to other programming.
